The kids go back to school this week and I still have not covered a book. I did the shopping for all of this last week and in fact have still not recovered from the shock of it all. Last year I spent R 1500.00 on stationery for both kids and this year Scott's was R 1200.00 without his text books and Erin's was R 625.00 without her text books. Kinda ridiculous if you ask me. So now I have to cover them all, and no I am clearly not one of those moms that gets off on this kind of thing.
When my computer crashed on Friday and was only really working again on Saturday night. I mentioned to my family that I need to post about me not getting the job, my dearest darling daughter commented that maybe I should not mention that I am applying for jobs on my blog until I get one and then only tell everyone. What do you thing? I think she might be spot on here, but at the same time isn't that what blogging is about? the everyday, whats going on in my life? if I don't mention that I am applying for jobs, what do I mention? hell I don't do much else at the moment, this is a very pressing issue but at the same time I don't want to bore you all to "omg, Jo didn't get the job- again". Let me know soon, so I can let you know about the next job I have applied for LOL.

Keep it real and blog about whatever you want to. I like knowing just so I can pray for you. At least I can do that when I run out of words to encourage you with. Am coming through Weds or Thurs - will keep in touch??
What are you thinking!
Why are you doing the book covering?
Your kids might hate me, but gosh Jo, teach them to do it.
And yes, please do keep us in the job hunting loop: you're right, blogging is about sharing whatever you want to
Yip, i am with the others, I would tell us....but thats because I am nosey you see :-)
I think you should share all! :) We wanna know all the details. LOL
Btw... I have three kids... and the text books, the stationery and the uniforms has not made this month look like a happy one!
Jo, I'm all for keeping it real {in fact my latest blog entry is definitely going to ruffle some feathers!}
It's your blog & you can share whatever you like, although nothing will ever quite rival the poop in bathtub post!!
It's not what you share, it's how you share it - and you do it with such finesse & tongue-in-cheek style.
We want to commiserate with you when you don't get the job, because it will make the celebrations that much sweeter when you do get the job of your dreams - and you will :o)
So I vote for YES, we want it all - the good, the bad & the ugly & everything inbetween.
xoxoxo
PS: I'm with Allie on the book covering thing.
I haveen't bothered to cover kids school books for a few years now ... and you know what? they still 'work' fine ... go on, take a risk, just 'say no'!LOL
If it makes you feel worse to blog about jobs and then not get them, stop doing it; but, if it makes you feel better to 'talk' then go right ahead ... it's your blog - do what feels right to you.
Your honesty is what I love about your blog! Your daughter is not a blogaholic like us all so doesn't understand the bloggy business...for a blog to appeal to me it's gotta be real. BTW Scott could cover his own books...
Gosh the book-covering thing takes me back. One great thing at the international school here is that i haven't had to buy even one book for any of my children - ever!
Agree with the blogging thing - honesty is the best and most interesting policy :-)
